What do concrete polishing and finishing grinders do?
Polishing and finishing grinders are designed to provide a final sheen on concrete surfaces. They use industrial diamonds which leave concrete flooring with a highly polished finish. This type of machinery is typically deployed once a floor grinder has been used to remove the surface layer of concrete, along with any residual paint or adhesives.
How do I manage dust and debris while using a concrete floor polisher?
All of the flooring machinery and equipment we supply can be fitted with a high-performance dust extraction unit as an optional extra. Additionally, you should always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a dust mask or respirator, safety glasses and ear protection, to protect yourself from inhaling dust and debris.
Which dust extraction system is recommended for concrete polisher hire?
Our experts recommend different dust extraction systems depending on the size of the area the grinder/polisher is designed to be used on. For small to mid-sized areas, the Nilfisk CFM S3B or Ermator T4000 are both considered excellent choices. However, for grinding and polishing on larger surfaces, the Ermator T7500 is more suitable.
